How Stream Authentication works Stream Authentication allows a customer to control or prioritise who listens to there stream. When the listen link is used and a successful login is processed, Streaming Pulse adds the listeners IP into the Reserve IP list in shoutcast. If the user limit setting is enabled than only one IP can be logged in with a username and password, if disabled any number of listeners can use these login credentials.
